Privacy Policy
Orbit God is a physics game. It is built to be played without an account, and it does not ask for your name, email address, or any other personal contact information. This policy explains the small amount of data the game does handle.
Information we collect
| What | Why |
|---|---|
| Anonymous player ID — a random identifier created the first time you play | To save your progress, gems, and unlocked planets. It is not linked to your identity, email, or device. |
| Display name — auto-generated for you, and editable | Shown next to your score on leaderboards and to other players in multiplayer. |
| Gameplay data — scores, years survived, gem balance, unlocked planets, purchased upgrades | To run leaderboards and restore your progress. |
| Multiplayer session data — your display name, chosen colour, and in-game position while a match is running | So other players in your match can see your orb move in real time. |
| Purchase records — what you bought, and whether it was granted | To deliver in-app purchases and prevent duplicate charges. |
The game also uses your device's motion and orientation sensors to let you tilt and steer. These readings are processed on your device as game input. We do not store them or transmit raw sensor data; in multiplayer, only the resulting position of your orb is shared with other players in your match.
What we do not collect
- No email address, real name, phone number, or postal address
- No account passwords — sign-in is anonymous
- No location data, contacts, photos, microphone, or camera access
- No payment card details ever reach us (see below)
Payments
In-app purchases are processed by Stripe. Card numbers and billing details are entered with and held by Stripe — they are never sent to or stored on our servers. We receive only a confirmation of what was purchased. Stripe's handling of your data is governed by the Stripe Privacy Policy.
Service providers
We rely on a small number of third-party services to run the game. Each receives only the data needed for its function:
- Supabase — stores anonymous player IDs, progress, and leaderboard entries. Privacy policy
- Pusher — relays real-time multiplayer messages during a match. Privacy policy
- Stripe — processes payments. Privacy policy
- Vercel — hosts the game and its servers. Privacy policy
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.
How long we keep it
Progress and leaderboard entries are kept while the game is running so your saves and rankings persist. Multiplayer session data exists only for the duration of a match and is not retained afterwards. You can clear your local progress at any time by deleting the app or clearing its stored data, which removes the anonymous ID from your device.
Children's privacy
Orbit God does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because the game requires no account and collects no contact details, players of any age can play without providing personal information. If you believe a child has submitted personal information — for example, a real name typed into the display-name field — contact us and we will remove it.
Your choices
Because gameplay data is tied only to an anonymous identifier, we generally cannot look you up without it. If you would like your leaderboard entry or stored progress deleted, contact us with your in-game display name and we will do our best to locate and remove it.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date.
